As any Wisconsinite knows, winters in Wisconsin can be unpredictable. It could be 30 degrees and sunny one day and then the next day we’re in an extreme winter weather warning. Despite the weather varying, there are still plenty of fun things to do this winter near Kenosha, WI. Keep reading to learn about just a few of them!

Museums, Food and More

adult skiier coming down snow covered hill sun shining brightWilmot Mountain: Ski, Snowboard & Snow Tubing Area. If your family likes to ski, snowboard or go tubing, this is a great place to go. Located in Wilmot, WI, Wilmot Mountain is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and Holidays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Kemper Center. If you enjoy art and history come and visit The Kemper Center. This nonprofit organization focuses on preserving the historic nature of the site while promoting the arts, arts education and local history. They are the home to the Anderson Arts Center and the Durkee Mansion.

The Brat Stop. Living in Wisconsin, we’re known for our Friday Fish Fry but also for our brats. After a day of fun, enjoy a brat from The Brat Shop. This restaurant has been family owned and run for over 50 years. They have nine different brat options for you to choose from. If you aren’t a fan of brats, they also have other options.

The Dinosaur Discovery Museum. If you and your family enjoyed the Jurassic Park movies, you’ll enjoy this museum. They have a main exhibit and the Little Clint exhibit. The Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed for holidays. Admission to the museum is free but a $3 donation per person is suggested and welcome.
